Kyle Kerr

COO

Kyle Kerr is a seasoned energy leader with more than 25 years of experience driving capital projects, drilling and refrac programs, and renewable energy development. He has overseen $20 million+ in annual capital programs at both IKAV and Bp and has led organizations generating EBITDA of more than $500 million, consistently delivering value through disciplined financial and operational leadership.

Most recently, Kyle managed operations and renewable development for IKAV Energy in the San Juan Basin, where he directed oil and gas drilling, refrac, and facility projects alongside geothermal initiatives. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with BP, advancing to Area Manager for San Juan Basin assets and leading multi rig campaigns, refrac optimization, and surface facility development.

Earlier in his career, Kyle served as Principal Scientist and Vice President at Envirotech, helping grow the firm from a small startup into a regional leader with more than 200 employees. His work included laboratory oversight, environmental permitting, and compliance strategies for major energy clients such as Exxon, Chevron, Conoco, Kinder Morgan, El Paso Natural Gas, Tri-State, Red Willow, Red Cedar, PNM, APS, and other leading utilities and developers.

Kyle began his professional path with ESA work at NRCS in the mid-1990s, followed by pipeline projects in the Permian Basin and NEPA environmental assessments before and after completing his degree at Indiana University. Those early experiences grounded his career in both field operations and regulatory expertise.

Today, Kyle applies his experience to advance geothermal and low-carbon energy projects, with a focus on capital-efficient growth and sustainable development. He lives in the Four Corners region with his family and is passionate about building energy solutions that benefit both communities and the environment.
