Michael Baute

Michael is a passionate and driven entrepreneur and corporate energy leader having successfully served in various roles within the clean energy industry over the past 10 years. His diverse experience ranges from Entrepreneur in Residence and Director of Geothermal Development at The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), Vice President of Development and Director of Regenerative Energy at Silicon Ranch, and Founder and President at Inti Regeneratives LLC, a utility-scale solar land management platform that he started with his wife and was acquired by a solar developer within four months of founding.

Michael holds a patent at the intersection of agriculture and Solar PV and through his various roles he has contributed to the development of more than 2 GW of clean power delivered to rural electric co-ops, large utilities, C&I and Big Tech customers.

Prior to working in energy innovation and corporate energy leadership, Michael built and operated several regenerative agriculture businesses using managed livestock grazing to deliver ecosystem services for public and private landowners, various municipalities and County governments in Colorado and Kentucky.

Michael lives just south of Durango, CO with his wife and two young, feral children on their small, family ranchette. When not starting a new company, building a world class management team, or putting the kids to bed, you’ll find Michael riding flow trails on his single speed mountain bike, running rivers in his white-water raft, or chasing deep powder snow on tele’s throughout the San Juan Mountains.
